Make a Plan

If you’re mentally exhausted and working on your next big project seems overwhelming, it might be a good idea to make a plan. Give yourself some time to name all the small tasks you need to accomplish to finish the larger tasks. Put these small tasks into groups and assign them to certain days in your work scheduleThis will help you to feel less overwhelmed, be more organized, and get back in your energizedproductive groove.

Take Care of Your Body

A lot of mental challenges can be tied to physical challenges and vice versa. If you want to feel more energized mentally, a good start can be to exercise, get good sleep, and make sure to eat healthily. Participating in these activities frequently will help your mind feel energized and focused. Additionally, getting good sleep and exercising are proven to reduce stress, which could be very helpful to you.

Stay Present

When you are feeling overwhelmed or mentally exhausted, you probably feel your mind wandering to what happened in the past or what may happen in the future. Combat this by focusing on the present. You can do this through mindfulness, breathing exercises, going out in nature, or simply taking a short break. Occasionally pulling yourself back into the present will help your workday run smoother and you to feel less mental exhaustion.

Share Positivity

Even if you don’t feel positive, spreading positivity can make you feel happier and more fulfilled. Find ways to help and proactively reach out to others. Take the time to share a smile or uplifting message. Doing this consistently will reduce your mental exhaustion.
