Arizona Wage Payment Rules

When are Arizona employers required to provide final pay to terminated employees? – When a notice period is given in Arizona, payout of unused vacation time is not required by law; however, many employers will still pay their employees for unused vacation days. Employees who are terminated or discharged must receive all of their outstanding wages either within seven days or by the next regular payday, whichever is sooner. If an employee quits or voluntarily resigns, they must be paid their outstanding wages on the next regular payday.

Are Arizona employers required to pay employees holiday pay? – Arizona does not currently have any state laws that require paid time off or extra pay for working on holidays. Some employers choose to pay extra to employees who work on holidays and/or pay employees who are not working on holidays, but it is not required by law. Employers should have a written policy and follow that policy.

Does Arizona require employers to provide paid leave to employees? – Employers with 15 or more employees, employees are accruing a minimum of one hour of earned paid sick time for every 30 hours worked, with a maximum of 40 hours of earned paid sick time per year, unless the employer selects a higher limit. For employers with fewer than 15 employees, employees accruing a minimum of one hour of earned paid sick time for every 30 hours worked, with a maximum of 24 hours of earned paid sick time per year, unless the employer selects a higher limit. Helpside is an incredible company to work with! They have amazingly fast response times. Everyone on the team is so nice and helpful. No matter how small or big my question is, they help me with them. They have a great customer service line for our employees to chat through questions they might have. They have great HR resources and are just a phone call away to answer any employee relation questions that I might need a second opinion on. They have done trainings for our team. Their platform is easy to use. But again, their team is incredible and one of the reasons that makes Helpside so great!
